Your Guide to Mid-Summer : It’s time to reignite your passion & devotion to your 2024 dreams!

This July new moon cycle, brings us to ☀️Mid-Summer and the midpoint of the year! A time when the intense Summer energy has many of us feeling energetically scattered, and craving a Mid-Year Reset!

So if you too are feeling:

☀️ a bit scattered and unintentional with your time and energy… and craving a RENEWED SENSE OF CLARITY, EXCITEMENT, & FOCUS around your dreams and goals now…

☀️ exhausted by the mental and emotional toll that trying to create a big dream has taken on you lately… and want to feel more SUPPORTED & RESOURCED, so you can confidently & persistently progress towards your goals through the rest of the year (without giving up or burning out first)…

You’re not alone!!

Energetically speaking, the long days of Summer create the perfect conditions for GROWTH (just observe the wild plants and animals outside!). Similarly, this can be a powerful time for you to make greater progress towards growing your own dreams and goals over the 2nd half of the year!

BUT, just like working with any powerful energy source...if you don't know how to properly focus Summer's fiery energy into ALIGNED-action 👉 it may turn into your worst enemy keeping you feeling ✔️un-grounded, ✔️distracted, ✔️anxious, ✔️busy yet unproductive, ✔️overwhelmed, and ✔️burnt-out all Summer (or all year) long!

Which is exactly why it’s so important to take a moment at this midyear point, to make sure you’re in right relationship with Mid-Summer’s energy, so you can leverage it into the growth you want (not get burnt out by it!).

And with the help of my favorite oracle system, The I Ching, I’ll share…

3 Steps to Align with Summer’s Fiery Growth Energy & get the Mid-Year Reset you Crave now!

 
 

Every New Moon I ask the I Ching how we can best align with the energies of the month. And this month the hexagrams* it gave us were ䷟CONSTANCY and ䷗ARMIES.
(*hexagrams are the language of the I Ching)

The hexagram of CONSTANCY䷟ is the type of energy we must bring to our growth and manifestation work now! Just like the mama bird🐦 in my back yard, out there every morning working to find food to grow the babies in her nest, we must be showing up with CONSISTENT, PERSISTENT energy towards growing our own dreams and goals now, if we intend to bring them to a greater level of manifestation.

But showing up to our goals with that CONSISTENT, PERSISTENT energy, is much easier said than done! (especially for us neurodivergent or “low spoons” folks!)

Which brings us to the 3 steps in aligning with Mid-Summer energy now.

STEP #1: RECONNECT & RECOMMIT TO YOUR “SOUL-MATE” DREAM

To help us better understand what it truly takes to consistently show up to grow our dreams and goals to fruition, the I Ching uses the example of an “ideal, enduring marriage” 👉 aka. a DEEP, SACRED UNION between 2 people, that is so powerful it gives you the strength to PERSEVERE THROUGH CHALLENGES that threaten to destroy the beautiful life you’ve built.

If we expand this metaphor beyond marriage, it can also refer to the STRONG, ENDURING BOND that must exist between YOU and YOUR “SOUL-MATE” DREAM now, that will give you the power to persevere towards your goals for the rest of the year (or until you reach them).

Without that soul-mate bond, you won’t remember how important that dream is to fight for, and the fears, resistance, and other obstacles that you’ll inevitably face over the next few months will feel too big for you to overcome!

So step #1 now is to RECONNECT to what you truly want & why it’s so damn important to you (aka. fall back in love with your “soul-mate dream!), AND RECOMMIT to persevering through any fear or other challenge that makes you want to give up!

And you can do this with the practice of VISIONING🔮!

Every July I return to my “new year” visioning process, to clarify and reignite my excitement and desire for the big “soul-mate” dream or goal that feels most important for me to focus on growing over the second half of the year.

I do this by reflecting on a few specific journaling prompts, and looking back on my vision board to see what visions and energies still feel aligned right now. If anything new comes up, I’ll add it to my vision board!

If you didn’t make a Vision Board at the beginning of the year (and still want to), July is a powerful month to create one, as you “begin again” into the second half of the year.


2) BEFRIEND BLOCKS & RESISTANCE (so you can address them now!)

As I mentioned, encountering blocks and resistance in your journey to reach your dreams and goals is normal… especially if you set intentions and goals at the beginning of the year, and haven’t really paused to reflect on your progress or reignite that bond to your dreams in awhile!

And so the second thing I do in July (after I do some brand new Visioning to uncover my most aligned soul-mate desire I want to grow) is walk myself through an “ALIGNED ACTIONS AUDIT” to see where I’m experiencing flow and where I’m experiencing resistance. And then I come up with a plan to address the resistance.

If you’re feeling big feeling resistance in moving towards your dreams and goals now, you must identify and address the specific RESISTANCE that’s blocking you from feeling like you can “begin again” into the second half of the year with a renewed sense of excitement, motivation, and energy!

Here are 3 common causes of resistance in Summer:

  • You ❌LACK CLARITY around your bigger vision and goals anymore, and you’re starting to feel unintentional with how your using your time and energy.

  • DOUBT has crept in and you’re starting to question if it’s even possible for you to manifest that big dream you were once so excited about

  • The actions you’re trying to take to reach your goals and grow your dreams TRIGGER OVERWHELM, anxiety, procrastination or “self-sabotage” behaviors, and other forms of nervous system dysregulation (and don’t feel sustainable to do persistently!).

    • thus keeping you stuck in procrastination or “self-sabotage” behaviors  (not taking the actions you need to reach your goals/ work to manifest your desire)

    • Or making action feel really hard >> unsustainable long-term b/c will lead you to burn-out b/4 finish line


This takes honesty, acceptance, and compassion for yourself >> 

  • NORMALIZE all symptoms of resistance, 

  • forgive yourself for whatever your beating yourself up for (it’s not your fault!!! You’re doing the best you can with the level of awareness, support, and resources you currently have… and you are capable of healing, growth, and change)

And if you can’t you’ve got to figure out why!

3) GET THE SUPPORT YOU NEED TO PERSEVERE TO THE FINISH LINE (without giving up or burning out first)

***COLLECTIVE FORCE/ARMIES IS ABOUT STRONG LEADERSHIP (and having the support/resources you need to achieve something)***

  • Set realistic, sustainable expectations based on your capacity, natural pace, and level of support you have access to now (ie. goals, deadlines)


  • 2 types of Support you may need

    • Support with OUTER STRATEGY (to achieve your specific goal/desire) >> if you need help figuring out what actions to take to achieve that goal 

      • get an expert coach/consultant/teacher in what you want

    • Support with INNER HEALING >> if you are derailed often by mental, emotional, energetic blocks (negative thinking/ disempowering stories; self doubt; etc)

      • Get support creating a meditation/spiritual/inner healing practice + guidance/space holding/accountability to do the inner work CONSISTENTLY
